1.If you are interested in taking surveys or already take surveys, it is good to review the basics. Like all work-at-home opportunities,
it is still work and the more you work it, the more you maximize your success. 1. Get a separate email account. You will do better to have all your survey emails in one place.
2. Get RoboForm. You will need to register your name, address, and phone for each survey site.
RoboForm is software that can let you registration information with a touch of a button.
This is good for anyone that needs to enter forms regularly.
There is a trial version to try it for free.
3. Be aware that you may need extra software. Since some surveys require you to watch video,
you will need a video player and possibly an updated version of JAVA and your Internet Browser.
Don't be alarmed, you may already have what you need. When you need it, the survey site
will tell you what to do.
4. Complete Profiles. Many survey companies want to know about you so they can direct the
appropriate surveys to you. If you complete a profile that says that you are a married
woman, they will only send you surveys that pertain to married women. This is to your benefit
because you won't be wasting your time filling out surveys you do not qualify for.
5. Confirm your registrations. Survey companies will send you confirmations to verify your email
address. Add their contact information in your email program. Surveys send to many people
and the emails can be mistaken as spam by your email program. Add the contact names to your email
program. If you have OUTLOOK, this is FILE-->NEW--> CONTACT. I usually just paste the email
in the contact name and email, and then save.
6. Answer the surveys. Make sure that you answer all surveys that you get. The more you answer
the more they will send you. This is especially true of the high-paying focus groups.
7. Answer honestly. There are control questions in surveys that can determine if you are really
reading the questions before answering. They will cut you off if you are not honest.
8. Answer Quickly. Even though a survey may say that you have time to answer, the survey may close
before that date. Answer quickly before the quota of participants is reached and you lose out.
The higher the paid survey, the faster it closes.
9. Get organized. You will need to collect money from these sites, so when you register, take note
of the links so that you can get back in to collect.
10. Register, Register, Register.... Survey companies will only send you a few surveys a month. So,
in order to make money, you will need many surveys. You can search for survey companies yourself;
however, you may end up with bogus survey companies that just want to send you junk mail.
I recommend a good directory. There are probably many, but I signed up for a directory of 200
surveys, Survey Scout, and I am pleased with it. I chose this one because I did my research and found
that this is one of the top survey site directories that have been in business since 2003. (For the
internet, this is a long time.) They keep their site updated with new surveys so you don't have to
look for new surveys. They even have other information on their for other work-at-home opportunities.
It is worth the money.
NOTE: They not only have USA companies, but companies from CANADA, AUSTRALIA and EUROPE.
HOWEVER, if you don't want to pay for a directory, I can register you through my own surveys.
It will take up to four weeks for me to send all of them out, but I would be happy to do so.
Just send me your FIRST and LAST NAME and in the subject line put the following: "REFER ME'
on my website email.
Send me an email if this article is helpful.
I will be submitting '10 Truths About Surveys' in upcoming articles.
Thanks for reading.
